With annual revenues of €28bn, Deutsche Bank is one of Europe’s biggest financial institutions. When the French limestone on its London headquarters building needed to be cleaned, Thomann-Hanry’s ‘façade gommage’ was chosen for the job.
Although they had initially agreed to scaffold the building for six months using conventional methods, the client was extremely concerned the disruption caused by the work would adversely affect the bank’s operations. So they turned to Thomann-Hanry’s ‘façade gommage’ system which was used to clean the building without scaffold. Thomann-Hanry also agreed to limit the work to weekends only, so there was no evidence of any cleaning work during the Bank’s normal working hours and no disruption to their business.
Working between Friday and Sunday nights, Thomann-Hanry completed the cleaning work in just 14 days and saved the client £50,000 on the cost of cleaning the building in the process.
